Our weeks before Joseph deploys

Joseph finally came back from a month training in 29 Palms and he will be gone again in a week or so. So we are preparing his baggage, and seeing some friends to say goodbye, Joseph's dad is coming in a few days ...

Riley had a busy 2 weeks, working on the set of her high school show, and she is doing great with her grades (i should say: more than great!). Due to the lack of school funding, her team is only doing Lacrosse on the side now. Riley is showing a lot of support to her school and she went to the School Protest Day in Oceanside, along with a lot of others students from different high school. All wearing black (if possible), and showing signs on the street to protest against the budget cut in CA schools. She will have her spring break next week for some time off before the last part of the year.

Chef Ramsey from the TV show Hell's Kitchen had organized a diner for those who are deploying this month. On the beach! The diner/late lunch will be part of the TV show Master Chef! We went there with our friends Ben and Chara. 

Thanks to the lemon tree in front of our house, Joseph made some lemon-cello and we had a nice evening Saturday, enjoying it with some friends.

And on Sunday, Stacey brought us to the pizzeria :Killer Pizza from Mars" where the rooms are decorated with toys and pictures of star wars movies, and alien stuff ...

The plan for me while Joseph is deploying: remodeling the kitchen and the 2 bathrooms. I already start to read about it, look for prices and materials. I will try to do most of it myself, and hire someone for stuff like electrical and some plumbing if i get stuck. We have a pretty good idea of what we want so i will be posting pictures of the work on the blog as it goes. We already bought a new oven, ours died yesterday after months of suffering. :)

Levi is getting tall and quite stubborn if we decide to leave him alone for a couple of hours. So we had to do a nice and solid gate for the garden so that he could not get out of it. Cause how many times, did I close the door of the house, started the car and only to find the dog in front of the car looking at me like i was abandoning him!!! LOL

After my parents visit, Riley and I went to Six Flags!!! We had a blast and we did some pretty amazing rides!!!
